The purpose of the Africa's Health in 2010 project is to provide strategic, analytical, communication and advocacy, and monitoring and evaluation support to USAID's Bureau for Africa, USAID regional programs (such as USAID/East Africa and USAID/West Africa), and African institutions and networks to improve the health status of Africans.
The Hygiene Improvement Project (HIP) is designed to improve health by influencing three key hygiene practices: safe disposal of feces, hand washing and safe storage and treatment of water at point-of-use.
The NetMark project is dedicated to reducing malaria in Africa by building commercial markets for insecticide-treated bed nets. A unique public-private partnership, NetMark has improved both the supply and correct use of insecticide-treated bed-nets (ITNs) in sub-Saharan Africa.
